The Thames Valley offers a wealth of delightful locations to visit. Several towns offer boat trips, self-drive, chauffeured and public trips. Two favourite places of mine are Henley on Thames, where you can take trips with Hobbs & Sons, and Oxford, where you can enjoy a trip on a punt in two places in the town centre. For somewhere quieter and nearer to the source, you can hire boats at Lechlade. The river meanders over around 215 miles from source to sea through rolling hills and past quaint and interesting towns, islands and wonderful birdlife.
